Wind energy along with solar energy is the renewable energy source that more development has taken years in the world. By definition, wind is air in movement. This movement occurs when the Sun heats unevenly two areas of the planet. The heat causes the air will dilate, thus the air in the area more heated expands and expands towards the areas of air cooler and dense (less expanded). This types of aires reciprocating motion is referred to as "wind". Taking advantage of the wind is a practice already used since antiquity.
The element which transforms the force of wind into electrical energy is the Windmill which consists of a series of blades that are moved by the wind. This movement is transmitted to a coil that transforms it into electricity. This mechanism is usually placed high, standing on a tower to prevent orographic obstacles. According to the dimensions and capacity of energy production, there are three basic types of wind power plants: macroeolicas, minieolicas and microeolicas.
